Bureau works internationally with represented and invited artists at varying career stages to provide a platform and context for dynamic and innovative contemporary visual practice. The gallery premieres and commissions new work across a variety of media and presentation formats, both on and off site.
Bureau’s exhibition programme is complemented by screenings, talks and performance events, alongside international collaborations, exchange and residency projects. The gallery further supports artists’ practice through publishing initiatives, and participation in art fairs.

The Manchester Contemporary

Bureau - Stand 313
Bureau is pleased to announce our participation in The Manchester Contemporary, a new exhibition and art fair for emerging and established artists, showcasing a selected collection of leading UK galleries.
A panel of experts has selected twelve young pioneering galleries from around the UK including Bureau, Ceri Hand Gallery, Limoncello, Moot, Nettie Horn, Rokeby, Workplace Gallery and Works Projects.
Mark Doyle from the Contemporary Art Society, the UK’s leading authority in contemporary art, said: “Creating a platform for contemporary art in the North, The Manchester Contemporary will showcase some of the most provocative and inspiring art emerging today. Prepare to be challenged and forced to think differently as The Manchester Contemporary presents some of the best talent within the contemporary art scene.”
Bureau will present a selection of new and recent work by gallery artists Jacob Cartwright, Dave Griffiths, Mark Harasimowicz, Tim Machin, Paul Needham, Vinca Petersen, and Mit Senoj. Please visit us on Stand 313.
The art fair takes place between 24 and 27 September and occupies the third floor of Urbis in Manchester City Centre.
